Massanutten Mountain, VA
Applied Trails Research collaborated with the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC) and Stealth Ink to create a high quality end-user trail map for the western slope of Massanutten Mountain near Harrisonburg, Virginia. Massanutten Mountain Resort is a four-season mountain resort with excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation. The trails on the western slope are utlized by a variety of trail users including hikers, trail-runners and cyclists. These trails play host to the annual Hoo-Ha Mountain bike race. Final maps are in review currently and will be published electronically and in print 2011. Additional maps are being developed for emergency response and access; these maps will be provided to resort staff, and local fire and rescue personnel to aid in search and rescue efforts, and streamlined extractions of any injured trail users.
Final map is in production with Stealth Ink and SVBC at this time, we’ll post a copy of the final product when it is completed.
